The Brazilian Amazon is the lungs of our earth, which is why the whole world suffers when the rainforest is in flames. The home to 1 million Indigenous people, 3 million species, and countless trees that produce 20 percent of the world’s oxygen, has been burning for more than two weeks straight. As this recent news represents nothing less than an environmental crisis, we are taking a stand by donating an additional $1,000 to the Rainforest Alliance. We are inviting our community to donate + share to join our fight against irresponsible environmental practices.
From July 2019, we’re taking our contribution one step further, and have partnered with 1% for the planet to maximise our impact. This means that 1% of our annual revenue (not profit) will be directly invested into verified environmental initiatives certified by 1% for the planet. Through this partnership with 1% for the planet, our coco charity initiative will allow us to tackle the biggest environmental challenges.
Sometimes we are lucky enough to be a part of something truly special. For team Coconut Bowls and 100 valued recipe creatives, it started with the co-creation of the Vegan Bowlscookbook. With many humbling reviews, "it’s like a bible for good, healthy, yummy food”, we make a pretty epic team. Through a combination of conscious planning and generosity, from our team and the many brands who completely spoiled us, the second Coconut Bowls retreat came together on the North Shore of Hawaii. It was nothing short of incredible.
