RECIPE BY @sweetnutrition_byale

Baked apples and tahini, cozy meets creamy —what a delicious combo!

If you are craving a smoothie bowl with a little extra warmth and comfort you have to try this one! Slow baked apples bring out a natural sweetness, while tahini adds a rich, nutty depth. Topped on a creamy green bowl filled with delicious flavors and toppings means every spoonful is packed with wholesome goodness.

INGREDIENTS:

  • almond coconut milk or any other milk you like (adjust for desired consistency, start with 1/2 cup)
  • a handful of cooked spinach/kale.
  • a small piece of fresh ginger
  • about 1/3 cup of cooked pumpkin/sweet potato, or you could use a banana.
  • about 1/4 cup of applesauce or half a cooked apple
  • 2 heaped tbsp of vanilla plant-based protein
  • a tbsp of soaked chia seeds

To make the baked apples, thinly slice an apple, sprinkle with spices (you can use cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, anise, and mixed spice), and bake for about 20-25 minutes at 180 C until crispy.

Don't forget to serve this delicious combo in your favorite coconut bowl!
