Coconut Bowls is more than a brand - we’re a movement for global sustainability. Despite our playful vibes, our commitment to the planet is serious.
It starts at the core of what we do - rescuing discarded coconut shells and wasted woods, upcycling them into reusable kitchenware to replace single-use products.
In 2018, we began donating a percentage of every purchase made on coconutbowls.com to causes aligned with our values, including The Rainforest Alliance, World Food Programme, and World Animal Protection.
From July 2019 we’re taking our contribution further, partnering with 1% for the planet. With this, 1% of our annual revenue will be forwarded directly to environmental initiatives certified by 1% for the planet. This partnership allows us to tackle the biggest challenges facing our environment.
To date, 1% for the planet has delivered $200+ million in support to approved environmental causes, all of them at the forefront of imminent global issues. They will, with their experience, advise where and how our contribution can have the greatest impact in reversing climate change. This way, we're confident all donations are directed to the best possible causes.
In addition to these regular donations, Coconut Bowls is committed to becoming 100% carbon neutral by offsetting the carbon footprint from all of our shipments and deliveries, from farm to your doorstep. We'll achieve this offset through the purchase of carbon credits which are used to combat carbon by restoring balance in our atmosphere, often by planting trees and funding reforestation, solar and clean energy projects.
As a business, we have a responsibility to ensure we operate as eco-friendly as possible. As our business grows, so will our philanthropic impact. We hope this commitment inspires individuals and businesses to be more transparent and take action, making their footprint an eco-friendly one.
